Burradoo Renovation
This 90s colonial-style home was given a very stylish facelift with the addition of a new custom-designed kitchen and the renovation of the main bathroom, separate toilet, ensuite and laundry. The kitchen featured Shaker-style doors with stone benchtops, integrated dishwasher, smart Butler’s porcelain sink and high-end fixtures, as well as an island bench with soft-close drawers. The main bathroom and ensuite were gutted to form elegant spaces with floor-to-ceiling tiles, custom vanities, free-standing egg baths, heated towel rails, under-floor heating and frameless glass showers. The laundry was gutted to allow for the installation of new custom cabinetry with stone benchtop, and under-bench washing machine and dryer and storage cabinet. To compensate for the house being dark, a large Velux skylight was installed in the entryway with the light shaft formed up, gyprocked and painted in with the ceiling colour. In addition, three large Velux skylights were installed in the kitchen and family room area to allow more natural light in. The existing aluminium sliding doors from the kitchen and the lounge room to the rear patio were replaced with timber framed bi-fold doors with retractable screens. Timber floors throughout the living areas were sanded before being limewashed.
