ABOUT SHAWBUILD

Our business grew off a backbone of major quality renovations and extensions on homes all over Sydney and for the past 4 years, we’ve been bringing that expertise to the Southern Highlands.

Our experience covers works across the building spectrum from simple weatherboard properties to heritage-listed sandstone and brick federation mansions and everything in between.

We combine 35 years of old-school experience with a contemporary aesthetic and ideas to enhance the original or create something brand new.

We’re problem solvers, resourceful with materials and ideas, and appreciate the value of tried and tested construction methods over shortcuts. We listen, we share ideas, we’re flexible and trusted.

Our network of experienced tradesmen share the same pride in a job well done – to specifications, on budget, on time.

We all have an investment in realising your dream and want to make the journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible.

We love building. Interesting, beautiful, individual, conventional, elegant, or wildly contemporary building.

NEIL SHAW | BUILDER

As well as sharing his name, Neil has always shared a passion for building with his Dad, a master joiner and tradesman. The passion to create beautiful things is the same today. With more than 40 years experience, he combines old-school artisan skills with modern construction methodology. Before a project starts he likes to work closely with his clients to unearth the best solutions to their building needs and be resourceful in maximising the potential of their property.

It’s about listening and being an intelligent problem solver and then delivering an outstanding result on time and on budget. He’s a hands-on project manager, ensuring his team of skilled trades delivers on expectations and is always accessible to his clients throughout a project.

GEORGIA SHAW | CONSTRUCTION. DESIGN. COMMS.

The passion for building and beautiful design continues in daughter, Georgia, who first honed her interest in the building industry studying Interior Architecture. And now she’s construction-manager-in training, design consultant and communications lynch-pin. She has a particular passion for developing client relationships and helping them nut out their property’s potential, from floor plans and best utilisation of space to materials selection, colour schemes and finishes. It’s about joining the dots between concept and execution seamlessly and having fun along the way.
